On a warm and sunny
day, at New Mills hall near Manchester
several North west Hand bell groups got
together for a massed ring hosted by the
Kinder Ringers. All had a great day and
even non-bell ringers were made welcome.
Thanks to the Kinder Ringers, spare bells
were made available for the non-ringers to
join in and try their hand at ringing. One
massed ringing piece was Old MacDonald had a
farm. Whilst this piece was easy to play
the ringers were not let off lightly as hey
had to sing as well as ring the piece. To
make matters worse the groups were split up
and one half rang whilst the other half
sang.
All agreed this made
for an interesting ring indeed!
